How to Seat Your Guests

Although there are many different moving parts that go into planning a wedding from the venue, the dress, the catering, the decorations, the aesthetic theme and many other things. One of the things that is often overlooked is the seating arrangement for the guests that the reception. This might seem like an easy task but it can actually be pretty hard to put all the puzzle pieces together sometimes. Here are seven guiding points to making sure that your seating arrangement will be amazing.

1. Start Early

Don't wait until the last minute to start planning for this because before you know it, it will be the night

before the wedding and you're still trying to figure out where everyone is sitting. This will make the day even more stressful.

2. Break it Down

Understanding all the different people that are coming from both sides of the parties and which friends will mesh well together and those that will not.

3. Create a Chart to Organize

Organize your thoughts by creating some sort of chart that can be easily rearranged and

moved through the thought process. Here is a great site to use to help you out!

4. Choose Where You Want to Sit

This is your wedding so make sure to choose where you want to sit whether that is at a table with just you and your significant other or if that is with the rest of the bridal party.

5. Place Your Parents

Make sure that your parents are close by and able to take in everything that is happening

because this is much a big day for them as it is for you and they want to be able to take in

every moment they can.

6. Create a Visual Chart

Place lists of the tables at the front of the reception so that everyone can easily find their seat without the stress of going around the whole venue trying to find their seat.

7. Provide Reunion Time

Make sure to give the table time to meet with each other and introduce themselves so that

everyone feels comfortable and ready to celebrate the day together.
